Where They Live

The Giant Panda and Red Panda both live in the forest of China and neither have a permanent home.  They usually roam around the forest in search of bamboo. The only time the Giant Panda settles in one particular place is when the mother is about to have her babies. The mother will make  a bed of bamboo and twigs and grass in a cave, a hollow tree or among some rocks.
Pandas used to live in Laos, Burma, Nepal, Bhutan, India, and China. Now you can only find them at the tops of mountains in China and several more are being put captivity every day. Being put in captivity helps so that they can produce more and have a greater chance of not becoming extinct. Also being in captivity helps to give the pandas a greater life span.
