Regulations

A full game consists of seven innings
An inning is composed of six outs
Runners must stay on the base until the ball leaves the pitchers hand
A batter is out after three strikes
A foul ball is a strike
A batter gets a walk after 4 balls
Three outs retire a side

 An out occurs when:  

-the ball is caught in the air by a fielder 

-the batter has three strikes or three fouls 

-the ball reaches the base before the runner does

-the runner is tagged before they reach the base

A run is scored when a runner crosses home plate
A runner can tag up on a fly ball that is caught
Stealing is permitted
Bunting is permitted

Terminology

Base on Balls- when four balls are called on the batter
Bases Loaded- base runners on every base  
Batting Order- official sequence in which the batter will approach at the plate to bat    
Catch- a ball that is batted or thrown, which goes directly to the fielder's glove, or hand and is controlled 
Count- the number of balls and strikes on a batter 
Double Play- two outs usually resulting from one batted ball 
Fly Ball- a batted ball hit into the air
Force Out- Occurs when a runner is forced from the base he/she is already on to another base because there is a runner on the base immediately behind him or her advancing
Foul Ball- a ball hit outside of fair territory
Foul Tip- a batted ball that goes directly to the catcher and is caught
Full Count- three balls and two strikes called on the batter
Grounder (ground ball)- a batted ball that hits the ground as soon as it leaves the bat
Hit- to take a turn batting or to hit the ball so as to enable the batter to reach first 
Interference- an act of an offensive player that hinders a defensive player's attempt to execute a play
Line Drive- a batted ball that travels in a straight line
Pop Up- a short, high fly ball in or near the infield
RBI- run batted in
Run Down- when a runner is trapped between two bases and the fielders attempt to tag the player out by running the player towards on base or the other
