Some of the top running backs in the league are Terrell Davis, Jerrome Bettis, Edgerrin James, Curtis Martin, and Mike Alstott. |

Terrell Davis, is the best running back the NFL has seen since Barry Sanders and Walter Peyton. Davis is one of the very few people to run for 2000 yards in one season. In the last game of 98' Davis entered the 2000 yard club. Davis ran for 2008 yards.Terrell Davis should be a surprise this year because he is coming off an injury, but I think he will be great after two years rest. If you get Davis, I would also try and get Mike Anderson or Orlandus Gary incase he doesn't start a game or two. |
| Jerome Bettis is one of the best power running backs in the league. He just entered the 10,000 yard club this year after nine years in the NFL. That is better than 1000 yards a season. The "Bus" as the Pittsburgh fans call him, came from the St. Louis Rams. The pst few seasons the bus has been bothered with a knee injury. The bus has visited the shop and the mechanics fixed him up to be as good as new this year. So without a doubt I would go with Bettis. | ![]() |

Edgerin James came into the league in '99 leading the NFL in rushing his first two years in the NFL. James can do it all, catch, run, and block pretty good. James says he admires Marshal Faulk especially because Faulk was a Colt only a few years ago. You better hope for a high pick because he'll be gone like the wind. |

Curtis Martin and Emitt Smith have the best chances at beating Walter Peyton's record. Martin has never had a season under 1,150 yards. The formal Patriot left with his head coach to go to NY and play for the Jets. That year they went to the AFC championship and lost to Denver. I would go with Martin for a great solid runner because he can get you big points. |

In '99 Alstott ran for over 900 yards. Some running backs don't even get that many yards and Alstott is a fullback. Mike Alstott has more yards after the first hit than he does just running. For example, he had 71 yards after the first hit and just thirty other rushing yards in one game. Alstott is an awesome pick. |
