| One thing that is mostly applied to Egypt when people think of Egypt is tombs. | ||
| Most people think Egypt is full of dead people and that is partially true. Because there are tombs hidden and placed all over the place. but there is a lot of other great stuff in Egypt besides tombs. | ||
| One other problem, is that people think that tombs really aren't that wonderful and exciting. But, they're wrong. Tombs are amazing. And, if people knew what was really in them, (originally) they would probably be a whole lot more excited. | ![]() |
For example, whenever King Tut's tomb was discovered, people were amazed! Because, there was so much stuff inside. There were precious materials, hundreds of gold statues, golden chariots, stone sculptures, everything that you can think of. Even his canopic jars were made out of some rare precious material.

It is a real brain - racker to think where all of the things went that were in all the tombs that were robbed.

| The Egyptians put a lot more into their beliefs about the dead. Even I was surprised when I found out how much they care about their dead. |
The Ka of a dead Egyptian, basically their body in the 2nd life, has to pass a lot of tests. The first test that takes place is the weighing of the heart. |

The weighing of the heart is a very important. What happens is; There is a huge golden scale. the heart is set on one golden disk, and a feather is placed in the other golden plate. the heart of the Egyptian will weigh less that the feather if the person did a lot of good deeds in their lifetime. But, the feather will weigh less than the heart if the person did a lot of bad things in their lifetime. |

If the Ka passes the test of the feather, it moves onto other tests. |
