Rodney Mullen

Rodney Mullen is by far the most amazing technical skater in the skateboarding world.  He started everything we know about street.  He invented the kickflip, heelflip, 360 flip, darkslide, casper slide,  nollie and fakie flips, finger flips, and casper to 360 flips.  These are only about half of the tricks that he has invented.  He is thirty-one years old, was born in Gainsville Florida, but now lives in Los Angeles California. He was sponsered after only skating for three years, this is unheard of anywhere else. People likes im very much for his ability to freestyle or come up with new things quickly. His Sponsers are: Globe Shoes, A Team, Destructo, Matix Clothing, and Darkstar wheels.  One of the oddest things that happened to him was inventing the manual (balancing on only two wheels, front or back).  He was skating and broke one of his trucks so he had to ride on only one truck the rest of the day. He also has his own pro shoe called the Mullen S3 from globe.

Tony Hawk

Tony Hawk is like the rodney mullen of vert.  He has invented many new tricks and has won a ton of awards.  He was born on May 12th, 1968.  This would make him 34 today.  He started skating when he was ten years old.  Like Rodney he was looked at as an outcast because skateboarding wasmt very poular during that time.  He got his first sponser in 1982 which was powell.  He also starred in his first video called "The Bones Brigade".  Throughout his career he has invented 84 tricks and is currently the only skater to land a 900.  He has only placed out of the top three 16 times in his 18 year career.  He now has his own shoe and apparel company called Hawk. Which is doing very well. He is very interested in teaching his son to skate and having him become a great skater like he was.
