The University of Pittsburgh are 9 time national champions in football. They play their home games at Heinz Field. This year they finished with a 7-5 record. they went to the Tangerine bowl and defeated NC State 34-19. It was their second trip to the Tangerine Bowl. Two Pitt players will turn pro after their junior year. They are WR Antonio Bryant, and S Ramon Walker. Pitt will start the new season in April with Spring camp.
