Principal Reads to Kindergarten Students

One of the traditions Principal Dr. Shirley Dickinson enjoys each school year is visiting the kindergarten classes at the beginning of the school year to share with them the book, Little Quack, which talks about a group of ducklings who leave the nest.  Dr. Dickinson likens the kindergarten students to ducklings, who are leaving their homes/nests for the first time and going to school.  She hopes the story provides some perspective to the kindergarten students and eases their transition to a great school year at Franklin!

The kindergarten students enjoyed meeting Little Quack!
