Welcome to Benjamin Franklin Elementary School, where we are educating America's next generation. I am excited to be part of the most dedicated team of teachers and support staff who are committed to excellence in teaching and learning, and have the highest expectations for our 497 students. Our standards-based classrooms, coupled with rigorous skill development in the students, will maximize learning potential for greater academic success. Together, we strive to create a school environment that enhances self-esteem, increases student achievement, and promotes joy in learning. At Ben Franklin, we are proud of our students and staff accomplishments.
Together, we work hand-in-hand with our Parent Teacher Organization, developing educational partnerships with parents and our community. Our parents share in the success of children through various activities, parent involvement, and by helping with homework. Parents also have many opportunities to join in our celebration of learning as guest readers, resources classroom guests, homeroom parents, or a volunteer at any of the many events that our school and the PTO hosts: Open House, National Education Week Conferences, Family Bingo Night, Read Across America, Kindergarten Parent Information Night, 100th Day Celebration, etc.
Benjamin Franklin School, in the Bethel Park School District, prides itself in using the most up-to-date curriculum available to students and staff. We keep our students informed through our student broadcast of the daily announcements over the school's TV system. With safety as a top priority, our school works together with the Bethel Park Municipality, our Police Pals and Fire Department, to provide a well-rounded educational experience. On behalf of all the staff members of Benjamin Franklin Elementary, I would like to welcome you to our school's website.
