* If you are a Bethel Park Homeowner who has not completed a Homestead/Farmstead application, we encourage you to do so.  If you have previously completed an application, you do not need to so again. If you need an application, you can access one here.  Homeowners who completed their application will see a $168.73 reduction on their 2008-2009 school property tax bill.  If you haven't filled out an application, it is too late to receive the reduction, but if you fill out a form, you will be eligible for a Homestead/Farmstead Exemption next year.
* BPTV tapes the School Board Regular Meetings (the voting meetings that are generally held the fourth Thursday of each month) and broadcasts them six times a week—Tuesdays at noon on Comcast Channel 7 and Verizon Channel 32, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5 and 9:30 PM on Comcast Channel 17 and Verizon Channel 31.
* The Bethel Park Board of School Directors will allow public comments at its monthly Committee Meetings. Comments at Committee Meetings will be accepted on agenda items only, and there will be an opportunity to address the Board before each section of the Committee agenda about any item that is in that section. Speakers will have two minutes to address the Board and must preface their comments with their name and address. The Board will continue to accept comments at its monthly Regular Voting Meetings. Comments at the beginning of the Regular Voting Meeting will be taken on agenda items only, with speakers allowed to address the Board on any subject at the end of the Regular Voting Meetings. Topics for remarks at any School Board Meeting include school operations or school programs. Complaints about school personnel or comments that may implicate a potential disciplinary response will not be discussed at public sessions. Non-residents who wish to address the Board can do so by submitting a request form prior to the meeting, which can be obtained at the District’s Administration Building.
