Dear William Penn Parents and Guardians,
Greetings to the families of William Penn Elementary School. Since February, 2015 I have had the pleasure of serving as Principal at William Penn and I appreciate the welcoming and cooperative efforts of students, parents and staff to make my transition to Penn a successful one.
The 2015-2016 school year marks my 11th year in the Bethel Park School District. Before coming to Penn, I worked as a Bethel Park High School English Teacher, a Classrooms for the Future Coach, High School Girls Soccer Coach, High School Assistant Principal and Director of Cyber and Alternative Learning.
Many of the initiatives, such as the hybrid learning model, differentiated classroom and flipped classroom practices that are taking place in the Bethel Park School District are a result of my desire to change the way teachers deliver instruction in the 21st Century.
My goal continues to be to share my expertise at William Penn. However, I know that what the teachers do on a daily basis is what constitutes the success of your children. We must continue to concentrate on the processes that spur continuing advancement: evaluating what we have, determining what we can do to improve, and identifying what we need to make those improvements.
I look forward to continuing the work we have begun together to make William Penn the best school it can be.
