Chromebooks at Bethel Park High School
Bethel Park School District continues to prepare its students with 21st century trends in education with a new 1:1 technology integration program at the high school. At the High School, Chromebooks are available for each student in Grades 9-12 to use for learning at school and home. This program helps to provide our students with the skills to work digitally, collaborate meaningfully, and communicate in connected, real-world ways.
Chromebook Program: Grades 7-12 Handbook
The Chromebook handbook outlines the District’s expectations, for Grades 7-12, of proper handling of Chromebooks, describes students’ responsibilities and ways they can best take care of the devices, and includes an agreement for them and their parents, including an option for a Technology Protection Plan. Understanding and abiding by this agreement is necessary in order to provide the best use of Chromebooks to our students. Its regulations, along with the District policy on Internet Acceptable Use and Student Handbooks, provide precautions to ensure students have a positive, safe experience.
It includes two forms that need to be returned to the school; please see Pages 7 and 11 for these forms. (Note: for your convenience, these two forms may be downloaded separately at the bottom of this page.)
As we begin another year with Chromebooks, we are excited about the possibilities. We know our teachers and students will find new apps, new lessons, and new discoveries as they prepare for tomorrow’s opportunities. As always, Bethel Park is Where Futures Begin.
Students are required to use a Chromebook cover for their Dell Chromebook 11. BPHS supplies hard-plastic, snap-on covers to protect Chromebooks. Students will be issued a cover free of charge. Additional covers and replacements may incur a charge. Students may select from variety of 9 colors, while supplies last.

Deadline to Submit Forms
Student / Parent Chromebook Agreement & Technology Protection Plan must be submitted to receive the Chromebooks on distribution days in mid-September. DEADLINE: These two forms are due to the Activities Office in the cafeteria (Mrs. Schreiber) with any check payment by Wednesday, September 14. Checks are to be made payable to Bethel Park School District.
