Facilities Planning for the Future

Bethel Park School District is very proud of its highly regarded schools and well aware of the role modern facilities play in providing excellent learning spaces for the children of the community. As with owning a home, however, sooner or later, items need to be maintained, repaired, or replaced.

The Purpose of Facilities Planning

The School District has a number of high-priority facility needs that will require maintenance, repair, or replacement in the near future. Therefore, as part of our Strategic Plan, a comprehensive evaluation of our facilities was commissioned by the District to proactively plan for the future.

To address this need, Bethel Park School District assembled a team of community volunteers who served on the Facilities Subcommittee. Due to the nature of the committee's work, these volunteers included people with diverse backgrounds in various areas.

The volunteers on the Facilities Subcommittee spent several months reviewing the state of Bethel Park School District's facilities and offered their input that will be used as part of the district's Master Facilities Plan. This included some of the facility-related capital projects that were identified in a recent Facilities Study completed by Hayes Design Group Architects

The Master Facilities Plan will be instrumental as we continue to provide quality educational programs for academics, athletics, the arts, and recreational programs to Bethel Park students and community members for years to come.
